An opportunity to come together monthly to develop your Gelliprinting skills and explore amongst a community of friendly, like-minded individuals.
Designed for people who have some Gelliprinting experience.
May be suitable for beginners with some art or other printing experience.
To start with we'll focus on creating abstract works.
We'll build up different areas of marks, colours, layers and more, inspired by artist Jane Davies (photos 1-2).
For those who'd like to have a go, we can explore creating monoprint marks off the gelliplate too, as well as using different effects to build varied marks inspired by artist Clare Youngs ( photo 3).
There's also the option of exploring fluorescent paint for those who like it bright, inspired by print maker Jo Norman (photo 4).
We'll also explore collaging works together to build larger pieces and building larger pieces from any sized plate using masking and more inspired by gelliprint practices of Mark Yeates and others (photo 5).
There's also plenty of scope within the session for people to take on the modelling but then go their own way!
