What?
Using sensitively harvested and prepared seaweed, home made stencils, pebbles and a Gelli plate.
Perfect course for beginners or those who've had some experience of gel plate printing can go deeper with their layering.
With a focus on seaweed and the beach (the pebbles, the water), we'll explore how to make prints using found, prepared seaweed and stencils.
We'll set up a simple registration system and explore how to work with different colour combinations, considering some elements of composition.
Eco friendly paint available; the paper we use is recycled.
You'll take away finished prints at the end of the course, ready to pop in a frame or turn into cards, plus the know-how of how to produce your own gelliprints from found materials.
Gelliprinting is fast to learn and fun and it's easy to get hooked!

The max group size is 10 so you'll have lots of chance to get help and ask questions in a relaxed informal setting.

The room is upstairs in an old listed building.
Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting paint on. You're welcome to bring an apron.
