What?
Come and learn the art of negative space painting to reveal your own unique painting.
We'll start by printing up some layers - on a range of papers including wet strength. Then we'll build layers of collage from a diverse range of papers, including found papers and old book pages and more - ideal if you have a whole stash of collected and made papers from gelliprinting and other.
We'll then draw an image on the surface and paint out the area around it using white (or your choice!) opaque paint to reveal the image - be it botanical or abstract or a familiar kitchen object - whatever you choose.
If you don't like drawing a range of stencils will be on hand which you can use to create your drawing.
We'll work on a small cradled panel so you will have a piece ready to hang at the end of the class. Additional pieces can be produced on cartridge paper for those who work faster.
Your image - your choice - your colour preferences! So you can go loud and bright or quiet and subtle and everything in between.
When?
It runs from 10 - 1pm on Saturday 13th June.
How much?
£40.00 per person.
*early booking discount if booked before 01/06/26
Thereafter £50 per person.

The max group size is 10 so you'll have lots of chance to get help and ask questions in a relaxed informal setting.
