What?
Explore different types of handprinting - and then ways to bring different effects and types together over this brand new 5 week course coming in Autumn 2026.
They will include:
monoprinting on perspex sheets
gelliplate printing
Tetra-Pak printing by hand
stamp making (using rubbers or Lino) and printing

We'll use a surprising array of tools - not just conventional ones - to make marks and experiment with creating printed images.
No art or printmaking experience is needed for this course - just a willingness to play and explore and experiment in a supportive environment - and with no need for specialist equipment, these types of printmaking can be done at the kitchen table if you get hooked, with limited resources!
You do however need a little arm strength as handprinting does demand some good pressing!
You will create truly unique images based on your interests, which we'll explore over the weeks and find ways to bring different printed marks together.

The max group size is 10 so you'll have lots of chance to get help and ask questions in a relaxed informal setting.
Refreshments are included (but there's also a lovely cafe on site for great coffees and cakes if you want a break or to stay for lunch afterwards).

Please wear warm, old clothes that you don't mind getting paint on during Winter months.
