Join me for a special 2-part creative workshop where we combine the fast, tactile joy of Gelli printing with the mindful art of paper engineering.
Over two relaxed sessions, you will create a collection of bespoke greeting cards perfect for any occasion—from birthdays to winter celebrations.
Friday: You will create and use bold, graphic floral stencils on the gel press to pull vibrant colour layers. You can choose to use a limited palette to ensure all your printed materials speak the same language and will go together when collaged. .
You will also learn image transfer using soft pastels and leaves to create ethereal prints.
Saturday: Then, you will learn the secret to "fussy cutting," cleanly trimming right up to the printed edges to turn our patterns into crisp, stand-out botanical features.
We will construct elegant, folding concertina cards.
You will learn how to arrange your floral elements so they pop out from the folds and deliberately break past the edges of the paper, creating a gorgeous 3D sculpture that stands beautifully on any mantelpiece.
Additionally, you will also have created a collection of printed papers - I'll show you how to turn these into simple card forms and gift tags so you will have both the ideas and skills you need for future creating and a collection of cards and tags to take away at the end of the 2 parts.
No drawing or printing experience required. If you can use a pair of scissors, you can make these!
When: 2 consecutive days - Friday 23/10 & Saturday 24/10 2026 from 10-1pm
How much:
£75 for the full 2-week course (Includes all card bases, scissors, Gelli equipment, paints, and envelopes) and refreshments.
To give everyone plenty of elbow room to fold, cut, this is limited to 8 spaces.
