Learn the art of image transfer on the gelliplate using a range of materials and techniques, including photos*, magazine images or text and drawn images using different media, including charcoal.
*You will be given instructions to follow at least a week before the course to bring your own black and white images to print from. (You can use a print shop of you don't have your own printer). Contact me with any questions about this.
Create stencils to enhance the image transfer inspired by Rex Ray or your own ideas.
Learn how to layer and pull your print.
The image transfer process is notoriously fickle, but with practice can become a really valuable tool for your art making, whether by creating stand along images or wonderful rich papers for collage or working into with other media.
The images shown were created by students on a recent course.
You don't need to be able to draw to take part in this course.

It runs from 10 - 1pm on Saturday 26/07/25
How much?
*£37.50 per person
*early booking discount if booked before 14/07
Thereafter £45 per person.
The max group size is 10 so you'll have lots of chance to get help and ask questions in a relaxed informal setting.

The room is upstairs in an old listed building.
Please wear layers of warm, old clothes that you don't mind getting paint on on chilly days - or bring an apron if you have one.
