Stop acting crazy

'Stop acting crazy' is one of a series of mixed media work which feature Xs. These arose through playful exploration as part of my 100 day project on Instagram - 100 days of play - and I came to see them as symbols of change.
The works are multi-layered using collage materials and paint. They've been worn back and built up until an interesting surface presents itself and then the final spray painted Xs are added in shocking pink and black.

30cm square mixed media work on a birchwood cradled panel, sold ready to hang unframed. Framed images are for illustrative purposes only. Finished with cold wax for a soft sheen.
