Camellia Calling

"Camellia Calling" is an abstraction of the view I see of a vibrant camellia bush at the opposite end of the garden from my shed studio, where I get glimpses of the rich colours and forms through the lush, verdant greens of the rest of my garden.
The board is richly textured from the mixed media collage I apply and the many layers the works go through before they are resolved.

30cm square mixed media work on a birchwood cradled panel. Finished with cold wax. Supplied unframed.
